Terms of Use

Effective July 5, 2026 · Applies to the Yoho iOS app

These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of Yoho ("we"). By using the app you accept them. If you don't accept them, don't use the app.

The heart of it: Yoho is an informational tool. It estimates which of your cards likely earns the most at a given merchant, based on published card facts and numbers you enter. It is not financial advice, its answers can be wrong or out of date, and your card's issuer — not Yoho — always has the final word on what you actually earn.

1. What Yoho is (and isn't)

2. Licence, accounts and iCloud

We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use Yoho on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the App Store Terms of Service, for your personal, non-commercial use.

Yoho has no accounts. Optional features — syncing your wallet across devices and submitting merchant reports — use the iCloud account already on your device, under Apple's iCloud terms. Without iCloud the app runs locally.

3. Merchant reports you submit

4. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service: no attempting to disrupt it, no bulk-scraping the shared database for redistribution, no submitting content through modified clients, and no using the app in violation of applicable law.

5. Purchases

Yoho is currently free. If paid features or subscriptions are introduced, prices, terms, and auto-renewal details will be shown before you buy; billing, receipts, and refunds will be handled by Apple through your Apple ID under Apple's Media Services terms. If we ever display affiliate links, they will be clearly disclosed where they appear, and they will never influence which card the app recommends.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any recommendation, earn rate, cap projection, or bonus estimate is accurate or current.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for lost rewards, points, or profits, arising from your use of the app — including decisions made in reliance on its estimates. Our total liability for all claims is limited to the greater of $50 CAD and the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Some jurisdictions, including Quebec, do not allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limits under consumer-protection law. Nothing in these terms limits rights that the law grants you and does not permit you to waive.

8. Apple

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. We — not Apple — are solely responsible for the app and its content, for providing any maintenance and support for it (Apple has no obligation to do so), and for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to an applicable legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer-protection or similar legislation. In the event of any third-party claim that the app or your possession and use of it infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement, and discharge of the claim.

You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You must also comply with the App Store Terms of Service.

9. Changes and termination

We may update the app, these terms, or discontinue the service. Material changes to these terms will be posted here with a new effective date; continued use after a change is acceptance. You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it. We may suspend access to shared features (such as report submission) for misuse.

10. General

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in it, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections of your province of residence. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. These terms, with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement about the app.
